Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all staff in your areas of responsibility provide exceptional service to our Members. Achieve this by continuously enhancing operational efficiency; planning resources effectively; fairly allocating work; establishing performance standards; arranging training for operational staff to unlock their potential; and inspiring staff to deliver top-notch customer service. Additionally, plan and recommend recreational and sports programs based on current trends and Member interests. Manage the Club’s official sports teams for tournament participation, and source, recommend, and monitor qualified professional coaches for programs and courses. Address and resolve any issues raised by Members and guests that require management attention.
- Achieve business results and manage costs in line with established budget targets within your areas of responsibility. This involves setting realistic targets for your team to meet budget goals; planning and executing events, marketing strategies, and promotions for Members' benefit; and continually seeking opportunities to increase revenue and reduce costs without compromising service and product quality. Collaborate with the Membership Marketing team to implement effective marketing campaigns using promotional materials.
- Ensure prudent cost allocation and control over expenditures to align with agreed budgets and forecasts by regularly reviewing financial report variances and taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Implement the Club’s policies, procedures, and guidelines within your areas of responsibility. This is achieved through daily inspections of service standards, cleanliness, and comfort in sporting and recreational facilities, as well as ensuring safety compliance for staff and Members according to statutory standards, while addressing any significant non-compliance issues from internal audits.
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery by actively seeking Member feedback, sharing insights (including satisfaction survey results and mystery shopper feedback) with section heads and peers, and developing marketing programs that reflect Members' needs and preferences.
- Ensure alignment of sports and recreation policies, programs, and facility management across all three Clubhouses. Regularly review these areas with Recreation Managers and initiate improvements as needed.
- Participate in recruitment decisions and succession planning for key positions, management trainees, and supervisory trainees.
- Ensure that operations in your areas of responsibility and public spaces adhere to safety regulations, providing a safe and welcoming environment for Members and staff. This involves ensuring all staff follow established safety practices, regularly reviewing and inspecting facilities, monitoring first-aid coordination, and continuously improving work practices through thorough investigations of safety-related issues.
- Enforce and implement 5-S best practices for a better workplace by monitoring team compliance with these principles.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
