Duties

Your major job duties will include:

• Assist in the supervision and liaison for running of the cable car Line Overhaul Team to provide ad-hoc, 2nd line and overhaul of all Mechanical and Electrical Module Based Components in the Cable Car System so as to ensure the safe, professional and reliable operation of the Ngong Ping Cable Car System

• Seek improvement in technique, methods and procedures to improve efficiency and cost saving

• Collaborate with maintenance team members and all other sections within and involved with the cable car system in accordance with the government legislation and Tung Chung Cable Car By-Law 

• Ensure safety at work by complying all Safe Work Practices and OSHA requirements, and the requirements of relevant government legislation and codes of practice

• Provide maintenance and fault handling supports to 1st line maintenance staff during operations and take up station duty and Cable Car Operator on need basis

• Ensure highest standard of maintenance to be achieved and all tasks are completed in timely manner

• Maintain a high level of competence within Cable Car Operations through the training provided by the company and to ensure a sound understanding of their respective tasks, role and responsibilities during normal operation, regular drill and exercise activities and emergency rescue execution

• Ensure cable car stations / terminals are operated consistent with operational procedures when conducts duty as the Cable Car Operator

• Participate in job rotation program in the Cable Car Operations Department to facilitate knowledge transfer and co-operations among different teams

Requirements:

• Holder of Diploma or above in Mechanical, Marine, Electrical or Electronic Engineering is preferable with at least 5 years’ relevant work experience

• Good knowledge in mechanical or electrical or electronic in cable car system or relevant industries

• Work independently and possess high safety awareness

• Good communication ability in both English and Chinese

(Less experience will be considered as Cable Car Maintenance Technician)
