Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    manage and ensure the quality assurance of reports, proposals and related research materials from the constituent research units of the PolyU Academy for Interdisciplinary Research (PAIR);

(b)    assist in data collection and information consolidation;

(c)    support international collaboration schemes;

(d)    handle general enquiries;

(e)    provide administrative support to PAIR’s constituent research units, if necessary;

(f)    provide IT/logistics support to the events organised by PAIR and its constituent research units, if necessary;

(g)    provide secretarial support to committees and working groups; and

(h)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of PAIR or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:
 
(a)    have a recognised degree with at least five years of relevant post-qualification work experience;

(b)    have strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, communication and interpersonal skills;

(c)    be highly self-motivated and able to work independently;

(d)    be well-organised and highly attentive to details;

(e)    have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;

(f)    have good computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing; and

(g)    have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.

Preference will be given to those with solid relevant work experience in tertiary institutions.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
