Executive Officer (Ref. 241004031-IE)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) manage the Fellowship Scheme of the PolyU Academy for Interdisciplinary Research (PAIR);
(b) ensure the quality assurance of reports, proposals and related research materials from the constituent research units of PAIR;
(c) provide administrative support to the Mini-master Programme;
(d) handle the appointment related matters of PAIR’s constituent research units;
(e) assist in data collection and information consolidation;
(f) coordinate staff participation for events or occasions in PAIR;
(g) provide secretarial support to committees and working groups;
(h) liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders; and
(i) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of PAIR or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree with at least five years of relevant post-qualification work experience;
(b) have strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, communication and interpersonal skills;
(c) be highly self-motivated, and able to work independently and handle sensitive matters with alertness and prudence;
(d) be well-organised and highly attentive to details;
(e) have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
(f) have good computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing; and
(g) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.
Preference will be given to those with solid relevant work experience in tertiary institutions.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
