Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    assist in the planning and implementation of repairs, maintenance, alterations and additions work of fire services installations and related building services;

(b)    liaise with contractors and oversee the implementation of scheduled works;

(c)    follow up on job orders and monitor the progress/quality of work performed by both the in-house staff and contractors;

(d)    carry out routine checking and inspection of fire services installations, including emergency repairs, testing and commissioning as well as handover inspection of new buildings; and

(e)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    possess a recognised certificate / diploma, preferably in Building Services, Engineering or a related area;

(b)    preferably have two years of relevant experience in building services, including fire services; and

(c)    have sound knowledge of computer software, including MS Office, AutoCAD, computerised maintenance systems, etc.

Preference will be given to those with knowledge of the latest fire related ordinances, Code of Practice and regulations.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
