Responsibilities:
Developing an effective and robust end to end control framework that fully meets Audit, Compliance and Regulatory requirements
Applies comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within collateral and margin and basic knowledge of other areas (middle office, settlements, control, etc.), to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area
Ensuring the infrastructure and tools are in place to effectively manage risk and service our clients
Manages complex and highly variable issues associated with collateral and Margin with significant potential impact across multiple operations areas, weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting needs
Closely follows trends in collateral and margin and adapts them for application within own team and the business
Requires analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
Accountable for integrity of process, operations and end results. Implements a successful risk/control environment related to collateral and/or margin processes
Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources
Utilizes exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in order to build effective relationships and influences and negotiates, often at senior levels (across functions)
Requirements:
10 years + of experience in Collateral Management
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related disciplines
Solid product knowledge on OTC Derivatives, including front-to-back processing workflow
In depth understanding of margin/collateral processes and collateral portfolio reconciliations
Ability to work on own initiative and communicate effectively
Organized and efficient with ability to multi-task
Strong risk management and control mindset
Diligent, committed and able to work under pressure and tight timelines
Advantageous to have knowledge of Cloudmargin, Clearstream, Euroclear and Calypso.
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
Proficient with advanced Microsoft Excel
