Safety Officer – All Levels
Job Description:
We are currently seeking Safety Officers at all levels to join our main construction team. As a Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment for our construction projects. We have openings for Junior, Mid-level, and Senior Safety Officers, providing opportunities for candidates at different stages of their safety career.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures on construction sites.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide safety training and orientations to construction workers and subcontractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to develop safety plans and risk assessments.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and make recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections of equipment and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote a safety-conscious culture.
- Assist in emergency response and evacuation procedures.
Qualifications:
Junior Safety Officer:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in safety, preferably in the construction industry.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety practices and regulations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
Mid-level Safety Officer:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-7 years of experience in safety, with construction industry experience.
- In-depth understanding of construction site safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in conducting safety inspections and investigations.
- Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Senior Safety Officer:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in safety, with significant construction industry experience.
- Extensive knowledge of construction site safety practices, regulations, and standards.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs.
- Ability to lead and mentor a safety team.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
