Responsibilities :

  • Provide legal support to various business units including fintech, asset management, investment banking, wealth management, securities, and alternative investments.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, compliance department and other stakeholders as required.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a range of legal documents and agreements, such as commercial contracts, fund partnership agreements, and regulatory filings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on matters related to corporate's operations, products, and services, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of legal policies, procedures, and guidelines within the organization.
  • Support the legal team in handling corporate matters, such as entity structuring, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management to facilitate legal and regulatory affairs.
     

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree or Juris Doctor degree in Law from a recognized university, from a common law jurisdiction (e.g., Hong Kong, England, Australia, New Zealand).
  • Preferably admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong.
  • At least one year of relevant legal work experience, at a reputable law firm or in the financial industry as in-house legal department.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in English is a must.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in legal and regulatory research.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to new situations, good business acumen and willingness to learn is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, digital asset landscape and fintech is an advantage.
