Responsibilities
Advise Regional Managing Director in regards to recruitment strategies and work closely with management to meet staffing needs within budget restraints
Responsible for developing/reviewing/updating of employee manuals and assist management in setting the employment/employee policies throughout Cato Asia offices
Recruit/hire staff for Cato Asia offices manage/develop all employee agreements
Compliance to all employment/labour regulations and benefit practices throughout Asia
Develop programs that will keep turnover to a minimum. Be a touch point for all employees that need assistance, help with conflict resolution, counsel in improving performance
Responsible for new hires orientation programs for all levels and Cato Asia offices
Manage staff of Human Resource department
Source candidates, conduct pre-screening of candidates to present to hiring manager, initiate the interview process and monitor all new hires processes for compliance with company hiring procedures
Provide assistance in educating and supporting Cato management in understanding the recruitment and staffing process that compliance to law and Corporate requirements;
Manage annual review, salary administration, annual bonus processes and any long term incentive programs
Generate, coordinate and maintain all appraisal materials throughout Cato Asia offices. Work with Regional Managing Director on annual merit review and addition incentives
Establish and maintain relationships between the Cato Asia offices and external professional agents and auditors
Monitor all pre-employment, recruitment, employment contract, company policies and practices
Any other projects/duties as assigned by the company
Requirements
Degree holder in human resources management or over 10 years of human resources managerial experience with regional exposure
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Human Resources with at least five years in recruitment and general human resource management from a buying/sourcing office. Hands-on with employment laws, benefits and regulations for Hong Kong, China, Vietnam and countries in South Asia is an added advantage
Clear and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, multi-tasking with high ethical judgment
Ability to analysis data/trends to facilitate/solve people issues, manpower and budget planning
Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
Hands-on with strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations in Hong Kong, China and other South Asia countries
Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent administrative and time-management skills.
Strong computer literate in MS Office – Outlooks, Word, Excel and Power Point
Exceptional business standard in spoken and written of English, Cantonese and Mandarin; and ability to read Chinese
