Job Description:
The Factory General Manager oversees manufacturing operations at a single-site facility, primarily focused on producing and assembling medical devices. Reporting directly to the President/CEO of the Headquarters, this role is pivotal in achieving the company's overarching objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the deployment of company targets and policies across manufacturing techniques, sourcing, cost reduction, quality assurance, timely delivery, safety protocols, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and plant performance metrics.
- Cultivate a high-performing managerial team by inspiring and motivating subordinates to enhance employee engagement.
- Develop, oversee, and manage profit plans and budgets.
- Foster strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Optimize logistic and warehousing processes while maintaining optimal stock levels.
- Coordinate plant activities in collaboration with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing goals are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Implement cost-effective control systems for capital, operating expenses, labor costs, and salaries.
- Monitor plant performance concerning production and quality standards.
- Minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
- Maintain and upgrade plant facilities and equipment as necessary.
- Provide leadership and training to achieve company objectives.
- Establish and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
- Promote shop floor organization and cleanliness among plant staff.
- Offer guidance, development, and leadership to production supervisors.
- Lead problem resolution initiatives to drive rapid improvements and enhance working relationships.
- Ensure compliance with international and local regulatory, safety, environmental, and labor standards.
- Maintain positive relationships with local government bodies such as tax bureaus and customs offices.
Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in at least two languages among English, German, Cantonese/Mandarin.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervise a team comprising managers, supervisors, administrative staff, and factory workers.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in technology management or a B.S. in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a general manager in high-precision, high-tech, and low-tolerance manufacturing environments.
- Preference for experience in the electrical and/or electronic medical device manufacturing industry.
- Additional Information:
Implement a new ERP system (preferably Kingdee) for organizational enhancement, including product and cost calculations.
Develop and implement semi-automated solutions for the assembly process continuously.
Focus on reducing material costs and expanding the supplier base.
Prepare a concept for implementing injection molding processes.
