Major Duties: | |||
(a) | To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects; | ||
(b) | To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; | ||
(c) | To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and | ||
(d) | To participate in networking with industry. | ||
Requirements: | |||
(a) | A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; | ||
(b) | At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; | ||
(c) | Good communication, teaching and presentation skills; | ||
(d) | Candidate(s) with good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage; and | ||
(e)* | Proficiency in Putonghua: | ||
(i) | Mother tongue / language is Putonghua; or | ||
(ii) | Received a bachelor’s degree or above of which the medium of instruction is Putonghua; or | ||
(iii) | Have at least 3 years’ work experience in the Mainland or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions (Singapore, Taiwan, etc.); or | ||
(iv) | Attainment of Grade 3B at the Putonghua Shuipin Ceshi [普通話水平測試三級乙等] or above. | ||
Notes: | |||
(1) | Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of “Part-time (Daytime) Assistant Lecturer” at the rank of Teaching Associate. | ||
(2) | Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. | ||
(3) | The initial posting is in IVE (Tsing Yi). The appointee(s) may be posted to other work location(s) to suit the operational needs. | ||
(4) | Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment. | ||
(5) | The appointee(s) may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis. |
