The appointee will be responsible for
(a) organising and maintaining teaching laboratories at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
(b) assisting in designing/improving experiments;
(c) liaising or coordinating activities for promoting science programs; and
(d) basic laboratory management, such as equipment inventory records and laboratory safety, etc.
Applicants should have
(i) a Bachelor’s degree or above in Physics or related disciplines;
(ii) at least 2 years’ work experience in research/industrial/teaching laboratories;
(iii) self-motivation, and a responsible and hard-working work attitude;
(iv) the ability to work independently in a multi-disciplinary environment;
(v) a good command of spoken and written Chinese and English; and
(vi) solid knowledge on scientific instrumentation, electronics, computer hardware and software, and programming.
Applicants with teaching experience and strong hand-on ability will be advantageous.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
