Duties
Reporting to the Cable Car Workshop Manager of Cable Car Operations Department, you will be responsible for the following:
Oversee and supervise the daily operation of the Electrical & Electronic (EE) Team in Cable Car Operations Department for on-time delivery, safety, and quality of works
Lead the maintenance / implementation of cable car EE systems / projects
Manage and monitor the maintenance plan of Workshops including preparing action plans, schedules, estimating costs and resources
Assist in compiling technical specifications and contracts for maintenance and project works, and prepare procurement documents for re-stock of spares/materials
Assist in fault analysis, failure trend investigation, developing improvement solutions, modifications and asset review on EE system etc., and drive for the continuous improvement on safety and reliability of the cable car EE systems
Liaise and collaborate with overseas experts to conduct effective onsite or remote maintenance and inspection
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as first line maintenance, facilities management, technical support on issues relating to EE systems
Provide support on spares management including setting up and optimizing EE spares inventory with Store and identify spares parts requirements
Provide training to frontline staff
Acquire Competent Person qualification under Aerial Ropeways Ordinance and oversee the safety of the cable car system and supervise duty cable car controller and operators to ensure the compliance of statutory requirements
Requirements:
Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering from a university or polytechnic or equivalent
Have solid working experience in electronic control of cable car systems or similar industries for at least 8 years with 2 years’ of supervisory experience
Knowledge of PLC process control, SCADA, network system and Variable Speed Drives (VSD), AC & DC drive systems
Experience of Siemens Industrial Automation Products i.e., SIMATIC, TIA and WinCC is desired
Grade B Certificate of Registration of Electrical Work is preferrable
Knowledge of IT concepts including Cyber Security in Operational Technology (OT), Databases, Operating Systems, and protocols (HTTP(S), TCP/IP, UDP, NTP, SSL/TLS, NFS, SAN, NAS, etc.) will be an advantage
Knowledge of wireline and wireless communication networks with different frequencies will be an advantage
With good sense of accountability and in particular a high sense of safety
Good communications skills, written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
