As an essential member of the Central Technical Team, you will support the General Manager by reviewing and overseeing the site management team’s performance concerning the safety and health aspects of all projects. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the successful implementation of safety and health programs across all construction projects of the group, while advising the site management team on safety issues and potential risks.
- Developing and delivering in-house site safety training, enhancing safety standards and guidelines, and fostering a culture of safety that promotes continuous improvement in safety awareness among consultants and contractors.
- Coordinating relevant safety training for all construction sites, participating in site safety meetings, and conducting inspections as needed to ensure all safety reports, notices, and follow-up corrective/preventive actions are effectively executed.
- Managing all site safety and health matters, liaising with Safety Advisory Consultants and/or Safety Auditors when necessary, and preparing comprehensive work records, monthly safety reports, and management summaries on safety issues.
- Assessing and procuring a suitable 4S to serve as the standard digital platform for development projects.
- Providing expert insights and industry knowledge regarding safety issues, collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate and recommend best practices and enhancements for construction safety performance.
Requirement:
- A degree or higher in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- Registered Safety Officer (RSO) and Registered Safety Auditor (RSA) certifications are a must.
- At least 10 years of considerable experience in construction projects, including a minimum of 5 years post-qualification.
- Proven track record of managing safety within construction settings; experience with government or institutional projects and large-scale developments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the latest statutory and contractual requirements and a solid understanding of professional practices related to local safety and health regulations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Cantonese.
