Reporting to the control engineers of the System Control team, the appointee will be responsible for the provision of trouble call dispatch and general logistic support to System Control operation and work on shift roster.
Major accountabilities:
Direct and dispatch round-the-clock, field Emergency Services Team to investigate power system abnormalities and rectify supply interruption promptly and efficiently
Ensure that each incident / outage reported by customers is properly and timely dispatched to field operation teams and the details of follow up action taken are precisely and accurately recorded in Trouble Calls and Outage Management (TCOM) System, and to compile TCOM performance reports
Assist Control Engineers in daily control room operations, special projects, and in mobilizing available resources such as test van, mobile generator, and standby engineers to attend power system incidents
Liaise and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective and accurate collection, and prompt dissemination of operational information from / to various parties. Process and compile power system data and provide performance statistics
Perform remote switching on smart meter for supply connection and disconnection to customers
Work on shift and at the discretion of Principal Manager to attend ad-hoc duty to support shift team during emergency
Provide general support in System Control Room
Requirements:
A minimum of level 2 or above in 5 subjects including English Language in HKDSE or equivalent
At least three years’ relevant experience preferably associated with operational works
A recognized and relevant Craft Apprenticeship or satisfactory completion of appropriate CLP training course to skilled level Registered Skilled Worker E305 (Electrical Fitter) or equivalent is preferred
Basic functionalities of company systems such as TCOM, Distribution Management System (DMS), Supply Point System (SPS) and Geographic Information System (ArcGIS) is preferable
Proficient in PC applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Mindful and possess good safety awareness
Self-initiative, independent, customer oriented and able to work under pressure
Ability to communicate effectively with different levels, both internally and externally
