The appointee will be responsible for
(a) providing technical support to teaching and research laboratories, and student projects;
(b) operating 3D printers and laser cutting machines;
(c) providing technical support and services to members of the Department;
(d) operating machines (drill, lathe, etc.) occasionally; and
(e) performing other tasks as assigned.
On-the-job training will be provided.
Applicants should have
(i) a Bachelor’s degree, a Higher Diploma or a Higher Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline;
(ii) 1 to 2 years’ post-qualification work experience; and
(iii) knowledge of CAD software. Related work experience in managing teaching/technical laboratories will be an advantage.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
