Responsibilities

• Establish and manage profit and budget plans. Monitor performance against plan on a regular basis and make appropriate changes to achieve plan. Effectively manage cost by monitoring quota usage and performing cost and margin analysis, etc. Manage all aspects of claims with factories

• Develop and execute sourcing plan from strategy to proceed with implementation and commitment to production capacity. Make sourcing trips to mills and factories to identify, develop and grow the production bases for the business

• Establish partnership relationship with the customer. Develop an understanding of sourcing strategy, quality standards, delivery expectations, and current and future requirements. Participate actively in strategic planning process

• Ensure quality and reliability standards. Oversee the proper co-ordination of merchandising team, factory and technical team in order to ensure meeting of the quality and reliability standards of garment delivered

• Work closely with the technical team on fit, fabric, color, general quality assurance and production techniques to ensure Brand requirements are met

• Responsible for the morale and associate relations for the division(s). Support and foster teamwork

Requirements

• DSE / Form 5 or above

• 12-15 years’ merchandising and product development experience in the US apparel business

• High proficiency in languages, i.e. English and Mandarin

• Strong business sense and good at details

• Good communication leadership and organizational skills

• Strong skills in evaluating and analysing prices received from factories and mills

• Ability to bring consensus and manage others by influence

• Ability to understand and work with other cultures

• Detail oriented however also possesses ability to see overall big picture and strategy of the business

• Product development skills and brand appropriate taste level in knit categories of intimate products
