Major Duties: | |||
(a) | To operate and maintain the PCs, Macs, servers and networking, AVoIP System, IoT System and related equipment; | ||
(b) | To install and manage software / OS for PCs, Macs, mobile devices and servers; | ||
(c) | To provide IT-related technical support for staff and / or students; | ||
(d) | To take charge of day-to-day system and campus websites maintenance; | ||
(e) | To compile system reports, update operation documents and guidelines; | ||
(f) | To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores, software licenses and consumables; and | ||
(g) | To assist in photo and video taking, graphic design and desktop publishing work, etc. | ||
Requirements: | |||
(a) | (i) | A recognised higher diploma in a relevant discipline, plus 1 year’s relevant work experience; OR | |
(ii) | A recognised diploma or higher certificate in a relevant discipline, plus at least 2 years’ relevant work experience; | ||
(b) | Good knowledge of operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware and networking; | ||
(c) | Experience / knowledge / skills in administration of Windows / Linux / VM server, WiFi services, LAN / WAN technology and TCP/IP; | ||
(d) | Experience / knowledge / skills in some of the following areas will be an advantage: | ||
(i) | Maintain IoT system and equipment with LoRa, ZigBee, WiFi, Bluetooth and NB-IoT applications; and | ||
(ii) | Fibre to the Room (FTTR) and Interactive Classroom; | ||
(e) | Possession of MCSE and CCNA will be an advantage; | ||
(f) | Preferably with knowledge of AV equipment operation; | ||
(g) | Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and | ||
(h) | Being self-motivated with good organisational, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills in Chinese and English. | ||
Notes: | |||
(1) | Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. | ||
(2) | The appointee(s) may be required to work irregular hours or outside normal office hours, and at different work locations as assigned. |
