Our client is a charity organization and they are seeking an Accounting Officer to support the payment and administration functions of the Charities payment team. This role involves vetting payment claims for approved projects to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and assess payment claims for charitable projects.
* Ensure all claims comply with organizational policies and procedures.
* Maintain accurate records of payment claims and related documentation.
* Communicate with project managers and stakeholders to clarify payment details and resolve discrepancies.
* Support the preparation of reports related to payment processing and project funding.
* Assist in developing and implementing processes to improve payment efficiency.
* Provide general administrative support to the Charities payment team.
* Collaborate with various departments and external stakeholders to ensure the integrity of financial transactions.
* Stay updated on relevant regulations and best practices in charitable funding.
Qualifications:
* University degree or equivalent, majoring in accounting or finance.
* A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in accounting, auditing, or payments.
* Experience in NGOs and/or the social service sector is an advantage.
* Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with a passion for supporting charitable initiatives.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
