Responsibilities
- Operate engineer’s train in the operating railway and new railway extension of the Lantau projects construction area in accordance with the prescribed rules and procedures.
- Conduct the engineer’s train formation and the shunting movement of engineer’s train safely in worksites.
- Rectify minor defects of engineer’s train according to the manuals and procedures.
Requirements
- Grade E / Level 2 / “Attained” or above in 5 subjects of HKCEE / HKDSE, including English Language
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Effective communication skills and the ability to handle incidents independently
- Driving license is not required; relevant training will be provided upon employment
Remarks
- Required to perform considerable amount of overnight shift duties with an estimated average monthly income of HK$26,500 (including the overnight shift allowance*, laundry allowance, 13th month pay, annual discretionary award and contract end gratuity)
- Reporting for duty during adverse weather will be eligible for related allowances
- The above position offers a Joining Bonus of HK$12,000, subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant programme
- Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms (*subject to actual overnight shift duties performed)
