Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)    serve as a personal assistant to the Head of the Unit and provide administrative and secretarial support to the Head;

(b)    handle sensitive and confidential matters in a professional manner;

(c)    organise meetings and prepare meeting documents;

(d)    co-ordinate visits and events;

(e)    assist in compiling correspondence, reports and other documents;

(f)    handle information flow and maintain an effective record and filing system;

(g)    maintain very cordial relations between the Head’s office and a wide spectrum of internal and external partners and stakeholders; and

(h)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of the Unit or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a)    a recognised degree plus at least five years of relevant work experience, preferably gained from tertiary institutions;

(b)    good computer literacy;

(c)    good communication and interpersonal skills; and

(d)    an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
