The Job:
The Business Development Manager post is a senior management post and the post-holder will develop the organisations’ corporate business strategy in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. The post-holder will also seek opportunities to grow our business internationally, expand our services beyond current client groups ,innovate, extend and enhance how we deliver our IT service with care and support.
In reporting with the Executive Director, the post holder will be responsible for the development and effective evolution of the Business Development section. The post holder will effectively line manage the Business Development Co-ordinators through the setting of development and attainment goals.
The Business Development Manager will represent the team at meetings, planning events and within internal and external partnerships. The Business Development Manager will be the lead officer for the maintenance and development of effective internal and external communications on behalf of the company.
Responsibilities:
Manage relationships business networks and speculative deadlines and ensure their delivery.
Actively involved in the planning and presenting of clients’ proposal, ensuring high quality proposal and plan writing.
Oversee the management and co-ordination of interviews, and facilitate the post-clients debriefing in consultation with the Executive Director.
Ensure the co-ordination of necessary support to assist the organisation to maintain our good status with our international partners and relevant local authorities.
Ensure the team maintains up to date reference materials.
To build up intelligence and data relating on our various local market and international markets.
Work closely with colleagues in Operations to ensure services develop in line with their strategic plans.
Work closely with colleagues in Operations to ensure that new business opportunities identified fit with their strategic plans.
Provide coaching and mentoring to staff.
Manage a range of resources, including Finance and Administration, to meet organisational demands.
To contribute to budget setting in conjunction with the Executive Director.
To manage and monitor allocated budgets for the area, identifying and implementing corrective strategies, where required.
To ensure financial policies and procedures are adhered to.
To effectively manage and deploy all resources in order to meet service demands.
Qualification and Experience :
Educated to degree level or equivalent, preference is given to MBA holder.
Proficiency in Chinese and English.
At least one year work experience in Singapore or Malaysia.
Min. 3 years work experience in acquiring new business preferable in the consulting or IT related Sector.
