Key Responsibilities
- Pitch, research, and write high quality feature stories on a wide range of topics.
- Conduct in depth interviews with sources to gather unique insights and perspectives.
- Collaborate with editors, photographers, and designers to enhance storytelling.
- Meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and journalistic integrity.
- Stay informed about current events, trends, and issues to identify compelling story ideas.
- Adapt writing style for different platforms and audiences.
- Revise and edit stories based on feedback from editors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a feature writer, journalist, or similar r ole.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong research and interviewing abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with digital publishing tools and content management systems (
- Passion for journalism and a commitment to ethical reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing for a news media organization.
- Knowledge of SEO and digital storytelling techniques.
- Portfolio of published feature stories.
