Responsibilities

• Manage the sourcing strategy and vendor allocation

• Research vendor & production strategies and investigate new sourcing opportunities in line with requirements of sourcing strategy

• Identify partner suppliers or origins who bring innovative products, vertical / integrated production and competitive pricing to the brand

• Support to build and manage supplier panel and develop migration strategy

• Ensure accurate execution of capacity and greige allocation plan in collaboration with the Global Planning

• Manage and follow up development sample from first to SMS (then VM) and bulk approvals like the bulk fabric cutting, colors, washing

• Ensure product development is in accordance with quality performance, margin requirements and production calendar

• Do prices and lead time negotiation between brands and suppliers and achieve the targets

• Coordinate and monitor all activities regarding development approval of all fabric or trims

Requirements

• DSE / Form 5 or above in clothing, textile, technical or related discipline preferred

• At least 6 years of solid working experience in KNIT ITEMS, preferably gained in buying office or multi-national companies

• Experience on both development and production and understanding of manufacturing process is preferable

• Excellent command of written and spoken English, Mandarin / Cantonese and or another relevant Asian language

• Able to work under pressure, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail minded

• Soft Skills in cross-cultural collaboration and adaptability / Communication with multiple country in Asia and Europe

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Illustrator and Photoshop

• Understanding of PLM system will be an advantage
