Job description

Responsibilities

Operate within a specified budget to procure goods and services for the organization.
Compare prices among various vendors to make informed purchasing decisions.
Discuss and negotiate with contractors on pricing, mode of shipping, and delivery timelines.
Regularly order goods, such as office supplies, to maintain inventory levels.
Ensure timely delivery of products and satisfactory quality of received goods.
Verify invoice accuracy and authorize the accounts payable department for payment.
Evaluate vendor performance to determine the continuation of purchasing relationships.
Conduct end-to-end process verification.
Enter inventory and order data into a computer database.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree
- Over 2 years of procurement experience
- Strong negotiation abilities and good verbal communication skills
- Timely in following up on contracts and checking on backordered items
- Proficient in budget management and possess strong math skills to quickly calculate the cost of goods and services
- Consistently reliable and upholds ethical standards, avoiding any abuse of authority or misappropriation of funds.
- Proficient in English and Chinese.
- Based in Hong Kong, but can support teams in the American region (US, Mexico, Brazil)
- Starts at 7 AM (can WFH in the early morning) and goes to the Hong Kong office around 11 AM for the remainder of the working hours (total of 8 hours)
