Job Description:
Underwrite a variety of general insurance products with technical proficiency.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities while managing existing portfolios to achieve sales and retention targets.
Cultivate strong relationships with potential and current brokers through regular engagement.
Optimize sales revenue within established underwriting guidelines.
Mentor and supervise team members, fostering their skills and professional growth.
Analyze key business performance indicators (e.g., loss ratio, growth rate) and provide insightful recommendations to management
Identify opportunities to improve existing products and processes.
Analyze claims data to identify trends and potential underwriting improvements.
Prepare accurate account summaries and management reports.
Requirements:
University degree Holder
Recognized insurance certifications (ANZIIF, ACII, or equivalent).
Minimum 10 years of general insurance experience, with expertise in underwriting, servicing, and marketing through international brokers, with Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
In-depth knowledge of specific insurance lines (e.g., property, casualty, marine)
Proven success in broker relationship management.
Experience in developing underwriting guidelines and pricing models.
Fluency in English and Cantonese (written and spoken).
Strong market awareness and intelligence.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Self-motivated with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
