Responsibilities
1. Strategy and Development
Develop and implement business development strategies and plans. This will involve working closely with colleagues, clients and their teams to ensure service strategies meet and exceed the demands of our customers
Create commercial opportunities to increase our income on products and services. This is with both existing and potentially new clients with who you will target, initiate and develop business relationships
Identify new market opportunities, taking the lead in constructing robust and successful business proposals that secure new contracts and long term client relationships
Help establish sourcing and supply chain solutions to meet client needs
Proactively drive change and continuous improvement in a fast pace environment by engaging all stakeholders and providing clear leadership to our internal stakeholders, a well as to our suppliers’ management
Select vendors and own the relationship, developing long term strategic partnerships
Develop our regional and global sourcing footprint to deliver on clients’ expectations
2. Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance, engagement and alignment
Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operations
3. Tasks Management
Act as a coordinator between all quality functions (in house operations, engineering, as well as with suppliers and third party service providers such as laboratories and QC companies) in a global international context
Help evolve and monitor standard operating procedures for product development, costing, production and installation service levels as appropriate to our client base
Help evolve and monitor KPIs appropriate to our business, which measure success against client expectations of quality, safety, price and delivery on time
Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required
Maintain a strong grasp of our industry and use this to continuously evolve and improve our market position
Assist in budgeting and monitoring the P&L of our business
4. People Management
Manage, coach and develop a high performing operations team that meets objectives, and which delivers best practice results, strong added value and consistently excellent results
Consistently promote high standards and lead by example
5. Other Requirements
Frequent travelling is required
Requirements
DSE / Form 5 or above
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role with a successful track record operating sophisticated supply chains
Able to produce high quality sales strategies and performance metrics
Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational level
Leadership ability, entrepreneurial attitude and a good team player
Profound understanding of global markets and varying requirements for our products and services, with a special focus on APAC, the Middle East, Africa, Indian and, to a limited extend, European markets
Excellent negotiation and sales skills
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Experience in managing projects and unifying multiple functions into one direction
Strong business ethics and high level of integrity
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels and cross-functionally
