Candidates should:
- possess a bachelor's degree in English Language, Literature or an equivalent qualification
- possess a postgraduate diploma in Education majoring in English, or an equivalent qualification
- hold a HKID or a valid working visa
- meet all the qualification requirements stipulated by the EDB for NETs
