Responsibilities:
Actively participate in the design, implementation, and support of infrastructure initiatives and projects across data centers, cloud environments, co-location facilities, networking, and cybersecurity to align with business goals and IT strategies.
Engage in the full infrastructure lifecycle—from requirements gathering and proof-of-concept (PoC) to design, implementation, testing, and ongoing support and maintenance.
Develop, review, and update IT infrastructure governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Oversee daily operational maintenance and support of IT infrastructure to ensure high availability and system stability.
Collaborate closely with service providers and vendors throughout procurement, design, implementation, and incident resolution to ensure adherence to SLAs.
Be available for occasional after-hours work for system changes, maintenance, or incident resolution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
8-12 years of hands-on experience in delivering IT Infrastructure projects, preferably within finance or securities brokerage, with international exposure.
Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and major Chinese distros) – full lifecycle management, including deployment, monitoring, patching, and upgrades.
Scripting (Linux shell scripting, Python, etc.).
Configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Solid experience in:
Cloud platforms (AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Azure).
Virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Huawei DCS, etc.).
Infrastructure project design & implementation, including cross-region data centers, cloud hosting, exchange co-location setups, and ultra-low-latency/high-frequency trading (HFT), AI, or high-performance computing (HPC) technologies.
Hybrid environments involving cross-region, multi-language integrations, and collaboration with in-house and outsourced infrastructure teams.
Broad knowledge of emerging technologies and vendor capabilities in virtualization, OS (Windows/Linux), cloud, storage, AI, exchange connectivity, HFT, and cybersecurity. Familiarity with Chinese domestic IT products/providers is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for solution evaluation and incident troubleshooting.
Effective communication in English and Mandarin (conversational proficiency required).
Team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, strong coordination skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment with tight deadlines.
