Duties
Establish and operate the Internal Audit (IA) framework and work out the audit methodology and annual risk-based audit plan in consultation with Management
Conduct risk-based internal audits on business processes, prepare IA reports with findings and recommendations
Collaborate with user departments to follow-up audit recommendations, assess residual risks, validate remedial works and close audit issues
Initiate and participate in the development and enhancement of governance frameworks, policies and internal control measures
Work closely with user departments to ensure alignment and compliance with company policies, procedures, internal controls and regulatory guidelines and provide implementation solutions
Promote awareness and culture of good governance, compliance and internal control across the Company
Evaluate data governance and compliance with data protection requirements
Prepare annual IA report and present to the Board of Directors
Act as a key liaison with external auditors, Corporate Internal Audit Department and other assurance providers as required
Benchmark Corporate practices, learn from experiences and adopt best practices and proven standards and methodologies
Lead ad-hoc and special audits or investigations as directed by Management or the Board
Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related discipline
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance, or assurance, of which 4 years should be at managerial level
Proven experience in leading audit assignments and reporting to senior leaders. Experience gained from sizable organizations, public utilities, transport, tourism, or regulated environments is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of internal audit standards (IIA), corporate governance, and risk management practices
Solid understanding of Hong Kong regulatory and compliance requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of audit software and data analytics tools is an advantage
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and report-writing skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
High level of integrity, independence, and professional judgment
