About the Role
A niche, Asia‑focused financial institution is seeking a Business Unit Analyst to join its Hong Kong platform. The role offers hands‑on exposure to cross‑border banking transactions, credit analysis, and deal execution, working closely with senior bankers and regional stakeholders.
This position is well suited to candidates who thrive in a lean, deal‑driven environment and are keen to build a strong technical and commercial foundation early in their career.

Key Responsibilities

* Support business development initiatives across syndicated lending and other structured finance or investment‑led products
* Conduct market research, financial analysis, and background due diligence to support deal origination and execution
* Assist in preparing credit submissions, internal approval materials, and transaction documentation
* Coordinate with internal teams and overseas head office counterparts on end‑to‑end deal processes, including drawdowns and repayments
* Respond to client enquiries related to active transactions and ongoing business matters
* Prepare management reports, deal summaries, and periodic business updates
* Provide ongoing documentation and execution support to senior team members
* Handle ad‑hoc analysis and tasks as required by the business

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
* 1-2 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, or investment‑related roles (strong internship exposure will also be considered)
* Native or fluent proficiency in Korean and English is mandatory (both written and spoken)
* Familiarity with investment banking, corporate banking, or credit‑related products is highly preferred
* HKSI Paper 1 passed is a plus; CPF or CFA qualifications are advantageous
* Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple workstreams
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment with tight timelines
* Immediate availability is preferred
* Candidates without permanent Hong Kong work authorisation may be required to obtain an IANG visa
