Assistant Officer / Executive Assistant (Full-time/Part-time) (Temporary Appointment) (Ref. 260430006)
[Appointment period: twelve months]
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide administrative support to academic or research programmes and the overall general office management;
(b) support programme leaders in daily operations of academic or research programmes;
(c) provide secretarial support to meetings and committees;
(d) compile statistical reports and maintain database;
(e) assist in organizing activities and events; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his/her delegates.
The appointee may be required to work outside office hours.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification;
(b) at least two years of relevant post-qualification experience;
(c) a good command of both English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(d) proficiency in computer software applications including MS office and Chinese word processing;
(e) good communication, interpersonal and time management skills; and
(f) self-motivation and the ability to work independently and proactively.
Preference will be given to those with experience in tertiary institutions/similar organizations.
Applicants with less experience and/or qualifications may be considered for the post of Executive Assistant.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
For part-time appointment, the remuneration rates are HK$170 per hour for the post of Assistant Officer and HK$120 per hour for the post of Executive Assistant.
