Roles & Responsibilities
l Responsible for controlling cost optimization results to ensure forecasted savings are achieved in ethical manners. Raise ethical alert when needed.
l Support the regional supply chain with expertise in Costing and Industrial Engineering, providing knowledge, advice, and solutions to maintain cost and related firms to a high standard.
l Play a key role in implementing the Manufacturing Excellence strategy by applying tools and processes to efficiently manage cost-related activities within the regional supply chain.
l Assist the supply chain in identifying and evaluating manufacturing improvement opportunities, utilizing Industrial Engineering and Lean Manufacturing techniques to achieve measurable and tangible efficiency improvements, such as reduced unit cost and improved quality and productivity.
l Ensure improvements are maintained by introducing key performance indicator measurements and seasonal reporting.
l Build and conduct relevant training to Procurement and Merchant teams on Costing and CI principles.
l Monitor compliance with firms ethical guidelines relating to supplier relationships.
l Provide training to firms regional teams on ethical behavior relating to costing.
Experience and Technical Knowledge
l Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in apparel manufacturing, industrial engineering, or costing environment.
l A broad background in Industrial Engineering technology and its application is required.
l Ability to identify and evaluate problems, and to develop improvements for production, BOM utilization, distribution, and standard work methods using proven Industrial Engineering techniques.
l Expected to effectively use any recognized industrial engineering techniques and deliver tangible results.
l Experience in identifying, evaluating, and developing solutions and recommendations to minimize total operational costs.
l The ability to manage projects and adapt to change is crucial.
l Ability to influence others in a multicultural environment.
l Comprehensive understanding of work measurement and predetermined time systems, such as GSD.
l Experience in developing and implementing direct labor standards for costing, capacity planning, and performance evaluation were required.
l Ability to recommend methods for improving operator efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and recommending equipment purchases
Academic Background
l Degree in Industrial Engineering or relevant qualifications within the field of Industrial Engineering and/or Costing.
l A licensed GSD practitioner is a prerequisite for this position.
l Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
l Competencies in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
l Excellent command of English, including reading, writing, and speaking skills.
