Responsibilities

Sourcing/Production Management

• Work with cross-functional teams, assume responsibility for Sourcing Plan and Timeline development and management

• Negotiate delivery schedules with vendors, as requested by Production Planning

• Review and verify sample development specifications and be responsible for the resolution of technical concerns with vendors and suppliers

Vendor Management

• Take a leading role to select, develop, and oversee successful vendor partnerships

• Provide ongoing dialogue with current vendors, educating and reinforcing L.L. Bean’s quality standards and expectations

• Identify and make recommendations, as necessary, for changes in the relationship with current vendors and for start-up of new vendor relationships

• Participate in costing negotiation, vendor production minimums, lead-time and payment terms

Quality Management

• Co-ordinate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure product quality conforming with company’s requirements and subsequent timely product delivery

• Conduct on-site or virtual product inspection with the Quality Assurance team as needed

Leadership

• Effectively delegates work and actively coach teammates to improve their performance

• Acts as mentor to drive teammates’ potential and personal development

Others

• Perform additional related responsibility as assigned and support manager in ad hoc projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; Polytechnic graduate in Textile/Clothing/Supply Chain studies preferred

• 7+ years relevant experience in knit sourcing with proven supervisory skill

• Strong technical knowledge in garment construction, performance properties, testing and production process

• Previous work experience in factory/ sourcing office is an advantage

• Strategic and innovative minded with strong communication skills and team spirit

• Expert in delivering quality results within tight timelines

• Resilient and able to effectively navigate ambiguous situations

• Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese; Mandarin a plus

• PC knowledge is required (MS-Word, Excel and Outlook e-mail)

• Hands on experience in FLEX/ Photoshop/CLO much preferred

• Occasional overseas business travel is required
