| Major Duties: | ||
| (a) | To support system design, development and maintenance of web and mobile applications; | |
| (b) | To assist in the maintenance and support of campus / institutes / corporate networks, servers, in-house IT systems and Smart Campus initiatives; | |
| (c) | To supervise subordinates to provide technical support; | |
| (d) | To assist in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures, system access controls, data protection practices, and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; and | |
| (e) | To support the digitalisation and AI transformation initiative of the operational unit. | |
| Requirements: | ||
| (a) | (i) | A recognised degree in IT or equivalent with at least 2 years’ relevant experience; OR |
| (ii) | A recognised higher diploma in IT or equivalent with at least 5 years' relevant experience; | |
| (b) | Experience in digitalisation and AI transformation will be an advantage; | |
| (c) | Proficiency in English and Chinese; and | |
| (d) | Good interpersonal skills, self-initiative and be a good team player. | |

| (2) | Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. | |
| (3) | Appointee(s) may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and / or at different work locations on a need basis. | |
| (4) | Appointee(s) may be posted to any operational units of the VTC, to carry out similar duties, and have different post titles which are subject to change at the Council’s discretion. | |
| (5) | In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. | |
