Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Leadership: Lead the commercial team to oversee overall post-contract administration, cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Contract Management: Manage contract variations, claims preparation, dispute resolutions, and final account settlements in accordance with contract terms.
  • MTR Liaison: Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and joint venture partners.
  • Risk & Procurement: Identify commercial risks and opportunities early; formulate and execute mitigation strategies and robust procurement plans.
  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee subletting, monitor subcontractors' commercial performance, and resolve complex contractual issues.
Key Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Qualification: Professional membership of HKIS, RICS, or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of post-qualification commercial experience in large-scale civil, tunneling, or infrastructure projects.
  • MTR Exposure: Proven track record with MTR project exposure is highly desirable. Familiarity with MTR processes, specifications, and contract administration is a distinct advantage.
  • Contract Knowledge: Strong expertise in managing Standard Forms of Contract (specifically NEC or MTR bespoke conditions).
  • Skills: Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese. Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership capabilities.
  • Availability: Immediate availability or short notice will be considered a significant advantage.
