Mr. Lai Kam-Tong

Mr. K.T. Lai currently is the Senior Programme Director of the College of Social Science, The University of Hong Kong, School of Professional & Continuous Studies. He also holds the position of the Honorary Director (Human Resources) of A-World Consulting, Limited — a local consultancy firm specialized in public relations and engagement. In his over forty years’ career as an human resources professional, Mr. Lai has gained extensive practical experience in human resource management particularly in the areas of reward management, performance management, employee engagement, executive development and succession planning.

Mr. Lai is a Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors and a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management. He was the President of the Institute during June 2005 and June 2008. He is also a member of the Remuneration Committee of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, the Elderly Commission and Specialist of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic Vocational Qualifications. He lectures regularly at various education institutes on human resource management related programs, and also gives speeches as a guest speaker for local universities and professional bodies

Mr. Lai actively serves the community. He is currently member of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Red Cross, Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention, member of the Human Resources Committee of Hong Kong Red Cross, New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, Hong Kong Ballet, Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation, member of the Steering Committee of Hong Kong Council of Social Service Institute and Honorary Human Resources Advisor of Hong Kong Girl Guides Association.

Mr. Lai holds a MBA degree from the Open University of Macao.
