The Hon Jeffrey LAM Kin-fung, GBS, JP

Mr. Jeffrey Lam is an experienced industrialist and one of the first Hong Kong investors to set up a factory in the mainland after the “Open Door Policy” in 1979. With over 40 years of experience in the industrial and commercial sector, Mr. Lam has been involved in areas such as investment, industrial production, business promotion and innovation and technology.

Mr. Lam has also been actively involved in public service and has committed to building bridges of communication between Hong Kong and the mainland. Mr. Lam is currently a non-official member of the Executive Council, a member of the Legislative Council of the HKSAR, Vice Chairman of Committee for Liaison with Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. Mr. Lam is also a General Committee member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Hong Kong Industries. Other public office positions include Chairman of the Independent Commission Against Corruption Complaints Committee, and Director of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited.

Mr. Lam was appointed Justice of Peace in 1996. He received the Gold Bauhinia Star in 2011 and the Silver Bauhinia Star in 2004. He was awarded University Fellowships at Tufts University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1997 and 2000 respectively.
