Responsibilities
Collaborate with Sales Operations, Product Development and factory on new product development for customer special items
Attend customer buyer meetings in HK and immediate sample and quote follow up, as needed
Request factory for sample and quotation revisions and price negotiation as partner with Sales Operations team
Handle sample request from customer / Sales team. Create mock up packaging and ensure samples can meet customer's due date, if needed
Cooperate with Sales Ops in preparing samples and quotations for customer's meeting, final selections, and planning
Make sure samples and pricing can be reached to customer before communicated deadline
Collaborate with Shipping staff to handle purchase order including shipment schedule, initial packaging and sewn in label with Arts team, approval sample sign off, and inspections for all on-time shipment
Understand the audit, testing and inspection requirements of assigned customers. Organize factory samples for lab testing submission and customer approval on production and packaging samples
Work with Quality Manager and customer for 3rd party audit, product lab testing and testing plan can be accepted in order to save company's cost
Work with the customer’s design house for artwork processing, as required
Maintain files for product specifications per customer's requirement
Track and monitor the production critical path, to ensure each milestone is processed as planned.
Attend customer's meeting and training sessions, as requested
Work closely with PD team and factory on new “standard line” product development including searching for materials, sample arrangement and obtain quotations
Ensure showroom samples being ordered and work with US PD team to monitor showroom display
Work with Arts team and factory on packaging development and mock up packaging for samples
Perform ad hoc assignments as required
Requirements
DSE / Form 5 or above
A minimum of 6 years of experience in merchandising and sourcing, extensive knowledge in Seasonal, Gift Premium, Toys, Home Decor or Sundries items are preferable
Strong analytic and thinking skills
Experienced problem solver
Highly organized with forward thinking on follow-up and details
Strong Excel capabilities, especially knowledge on pivot table and VLOOKUP creation and manipulation
High level of communication, internally, externally and cross-functionally
Demonstrate the ability to work well independently with little direction, but also must be a strong team player
Strategic thinking and commercial awareness of the industry and customers
Solid experience in US retail market preferable
Fluent English, Cantonese & Mandarin. Showing strong spoken and written skills
Some travel may be required
