Responsibilities

• Responsible for concept building, new product identification and recommendations to customer via detail market research and trend analysis activities liaising globally with internal teams

• Work with Product Development and Customer team to envision new collections based on customer trends and provide on-the-go design changes as needed

• Responsible & Accountable for Tech Pack Development and translation by reviewing customer tech packs specifications communicating the same effectively with Prod Merchandisers and PPC

• Preparing Development Stage Internal Costing by coordinating with factories on YY, CMW etc. costing information

• Coordinating Sample Development (Concept Sample, Prototype Sample, Assortment Finalization Meeting Sample, Fit Sample etc.) with factory sampling teams to ensure final product is as per customer requirements

• Timely & effectively communicating Pre – Alerts for capacity reservation with production planner with details for product style, quantity, delivery date etc. for factory planner to gauge the capacity for bulk production

• Responsible & Accountable for the Order Conversion Ratio for converting samples into bulk orders

• Responsible for the follow-up on the T&A timeline schedule status while tracking orders, reporting production status working with PPC teams

• Perform other responsibilities and participate in projects assigned by Senior Management to drive companies’ vision and strategy

Requirements

• DSE / Form 5 or above

• 4 - 5 years of relevant experience working as Merchandiser with focus on Product Development

• Degree in Textile Merchandising, Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering or related discipline

• Experience working on SAP systems or any other PLM system

• Striving for excellence to meet and exceed business objectives

• Excellent decision making and ownership (responsibility & accountability) of work

• Good understanding of factory production workflow process

• Highly motivated and result- driven individual

• Good working knowledge of 3D apparel software. E.g. Tukatech, CAD will be preferred

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent command of written and spoken English & Cantonese

• Proficiency in Japanese language will be an added advantage

• Candidates with less experience will be considered for Merchandiser role
