Job Duties:
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new agency teams, including orientation, documentation, and training on company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Verify agency and individual intermediary licenses in accordance with the Insurance Authority (IA) regulations and ensure all agents are properly registered under the Insurance Ordinance (Cap. 41).
- Conduct thorough due diligence on agencies and individuals, including background checks, fit and proper assessments, and validation of qualifications and experience.
- Ensure all onboarding documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF), and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
- Liaise with internal compliance and legal teams to interpret and apply Hong Kong insurance law and regulatory updates relevant to agency onboarding.
- Maintain up-to-date records of agency appointments, licensing status, and onboarding progress using company systems and IA e-portals.
- Provide training and support to new agency partners on company systems, compliance requirements, and best practices for conducting insurance business in Hong Kong.
- Collaborate with IT, HR, and other departments to ensure new agencies have the necessary access, resources, and support to operate effectively.
- Continuously review and improve onboarding processes to enhance efficiency, compliance, and the overall experience for agency partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Law, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in insurance, agency onboarding, compliance, or a related field, preferably within Hong Kong.
- In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong insurance law, IA licensing requirements, and regulatory frameworks for insurance intermediaries.
- Strong experience with due diligence, AML/KYC/CTF compliance, and regulatory documentation.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with fluency in English and Cantonese (Mandarin an advantage).
- High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage confidential information.
- Proficiency in using digital onboarding platforms and e-portals (e.g., IA's Insurance Intermediaries Connect).
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
