Our client is a global MNC with business across over 50 countries over the world with great expansion in Hong Kong IT team, covering various large enterprise level IT projects.

 

 

IT Programme Manager (PMO)
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee comprehensive programme management to ensure successful delivery of large scale programmes, adhering to timelines, scope, and budget.

    • Coordinate and manage both internal resources (onshore or offshore) and client/ third-party vendors for smooth project execution.

    • Responsible for managing teams at cross country level, this includes business & technical teams (Business Analysts, Architects, Delivery Teams, UX/UI Designers, Testers)

    • Able to manage dependencies across multiple work streams for system implementation projects

    • Lead and manage the team to complete release planning and transition to BAU for implementation projects

    • Develop detail project plan to monitor and track progress

    • Manage project changes such as scope, schedule and costs

    • Proven experience in identifying project risks and issues, and making effective decisions/engaging project team members to develop risk mitigation plans

    • Monitor project performance using key metrics and dashboards, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.

    • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and processes throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Conduct periodic project audits to evaluate adherence to methodologies and standards.

    • Foster a culture of continuous process improvement within the PMO and across project teams.

    • Manage the relationship with the client and key stakeholders

    • Support pre-sales activities from proposal construction to presentation

    • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project managers within the team.

    • Continuously improve project management methodologies and tools.

Requirements:
  • • Degree holder preferably in Computer Science or Engineering disciplines

    • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in system development projects, ideally from IT Consulting

    • Solid experience in project management, solution planning or delivery. Prefer to have experience running a the PMO office of a large scale transformation programme.

    • Strong technical background and project management skill

    • Strong experience / knowledge in project management tools, techniques, and systems development methodologies and lifecycles, including Waterfall and Agile

    • Management experience of sizable, large scale system implementation projects

    • Excellent client facing and communication skills

    • Ability to foster and build relationships, engage and influence others, work with diverse internal and global business units

    • Flexible and adaptable when dealing with change with a strong awareness and understanding of cultural diversity

    • Comfortable dealing with 3rd party vendor

    • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua is an must)

    • Certification on Project Management will be an advantage
