Employee Engagement Award

This award aims to attract entries from high-performing organizations that are unlocking discretionary effort from staff through effective employee engagement. Judges will look for evidence of respected leadership, high levels of communication, and a strong sense of community that centers on shared values, including measurement data such as employee opinion survey results and turnover rates, to prove the success of strategy and implementation.

Learning & Development Award

Learning and development impact all areas of the business, from productivity to retention.  It matters to employees and it helps the organization grow, making it one of the most important practices for the organization. Judges are looking for innovative L&D strategies that are well structured, with a proven record of achieving their talent development objectives effectively.

Next Generation Development Award

This award recognizes an organization that has implemented an innovative initiative that increases staff employment and development opportunities for graduates and young employees. Successful entries should demonstrate how their graduate attraction and selection process recruits the most suitable employees; how their young employees learn and develop through focused training and placements; and how these programmes have benefited the organization.

Corporate Social Responsibility Award

This award identifies organization with the best innovative and most impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practice. Entries should demonstrate the role of HR has played in the strategy and execution of CSR initiatives. They should demonstrate how CSR makes a difference to employees and the business through measurable results. Judges will be looking for an organization that has embedded CSR strategy throughout the organization and demonstrate its business benefits.

Innovative Recruitment Strategy Award

This award recognizes effective and innovative approaches to the targeting, selection and recruitment of talent at all levels. The judges will look for successful examples of innovative ways of attracting talent to the organization. Relevant to this category are new methods of talent attraction and acquisition, including those around social media; and the measuring and assessing capability and performance of candidates.

Innovative Technology Deployment Award

This award recognizes an organization that is using the latest HR-specific technology to greatest effect, making it a responsive and effective HR operations. The judges will look for outstanding case of employing technology to improve the HR efficiency. Entries should outline the Innovation in the types of technology used, alignment of the use of the technology with the organization’s broader goals and efficiencies gained from use of technology.

Workplace Culture Change Award

Entries of this Award should demonstrate that the organization has undertaken a successful change program, resulting in clear improvements to the business. Judges will look for examples of HR’s role in managing and embedding change, which might, for example, focus on creating or modifying major structures and processes in the organization. Entries should explain how the program was successful and its benefits to the business.

Leadership Development Award

This award recognizes organizations that has adopted a proactive approach to leadership development and succession planning. Judges will look for initiatives which review by HR team and working in conjunction with others in the business. Entries should describe the organization’s unique business practices with respect to develop leadership capability, and explain what action has been taken to nurture key employees in leadership and how this has benefited the organization.

Work-Life Balance Award

This award recognizes the program which help employees achieve a healthy work-life balance. The program strives to increase employee satisfaction, productivity and performance. Entries should provide an overview of the strategies to demonstrate the success of the implementation, and demonstrate the unique role of HR in helping companies and employees work together to accomplish a reasonable work-life balance.

Diversity & Inclusion Award

This Award recognizes an organization with well-rounded HR strategies which foster a diverse work environment and aim at integrating each individual into the company. Entries are required to indicate the rationales and practices that demonstrate why the D&I strategy was implemented and how it is linked to broader business strategy.

Employee Communication Award

This award celebrates an organization that has demonstrated the most unique, compelling and practical internal or external HR communication strategy. Entries should clearly show that how was the strategy deployed and through what means, as well as how it has strengthened the organization with the evidence of success.

Retention Strategy Award

This award acknowledges an organization that has developed outstanding strategies and practices to improve the workforce stability and productivity effectively. Entries should provide an overview of the strategies and evidence to demonstrate the success of the implementation, such as the impact on employee productivity & retention, staff turnover rate and return on investment.

Corporate Sustainability Award

Entrant should demonstrate the corporate strategy and HR initiatives that maximizes the value for enterprises, society, consumers and employees as well as integrating social, economic and environmental elements into an enterprise’s strategies of development.  The judging will recognize corporations that have put HR contributions in the any of the four following assessment categories: Workplace Quality, Environmental Protection, Operation Practice and Community Involvement.

Health & Wellbeing Strategy Award

Health and wellbeing are essential elements to increase employee performance, productivity, job satisfaction and engagement within the work environment. This award goes to the organization which could clearly show that how were the policies and practices deployed and leaded to healthy employees with a high state of wellbeing.

Employer Brand Management Award

Employer brand management describes the reality of the employment experience and not simply its presentation. By doing so it supports both external recruitment of the right kind of talent sought by an organization to achieve its goals, and the subsequent desire for effective employee engagement and retention. This award recognizes the HR teams which create a strong employer brand and effectively leverage that brand to add value to the organization.

Family-Friendly Work Culture Award

A family-friendly work culture award is a recognition given to organizations that prioritize and promote a positive work environment that supports employees in balancing their work responsibilities with their family commitments and personal lives.

Criteria for a family-friendly work culture award may include flexible Work Arrangements, Parental Leave Policies, Family Support program, covering childcare, elder care services and caregiver.

HR Risk Management Award

This award is an accolade given to organizations who have demonstrated excellence in identifying, assessing, and managing risks related to human resources areas within their organization, such as compliance with labor laws, employee health and safety, diversity and inclusion, talent management, and employee relations.

Winners of the awards should have evidences of highlighting the importance of proactive risk management in HR practices and the positive impact it can have on the overall success and sustainability of an organization.

This award looks for training interventions that have significantly benefited the organization, particularly if the professionals involved have developed new approaches. Judges will want to see the well-designed, innovative and well-delivered program, with evidence of improved performance and gains in employee skills and capabilities. Entries should show how training has boosted motivation and helped focus staff on key organizational objectives.

Workplace Happiness Award (6 winners)

This category is an award given to organizations that have demonstrated excellent leadership, characteristics, and compassion in creating a sustainable and fulfilling workplaces where people can satisfied with their jobs and working culture.  

Judges will looking for sound implementing strategies, policies and practices that create a fun and engaging work environment where employees feel valued, motivated and happy.

Green Workplace Award (6 winners)

The Green Workplace Award acknowledges the efforts made by companies to integrate green principle and practices into HR strategies, policies and employee engagement initiatives. This award recognition is given to organizations that excel in attracting and retaining talents from around the world. It acknowledges the efforts and strategies implemented by the awarded companies to recruit high potential individuals to the respective locations.

The major criteria for winning this award include the demonstration of organization commitments in recruiting and engaging global talents, such as impactful hiring strategies, attractive job opportunities, positive working environment, high standard of diversity and inclusion framework, and unique culture of engagement for global talents.
