Responsibilities

• Share company’s trends deck and customer fabric wish list by brands to mills and vendors

• Share fabric sourcing request and submit counter options according to customer’s fabric team and design team request

• Co-ordinate with offshore team for fabric development

• Prepare FSS as request

• Holds ownership and communication for QMAT assign

• Owns and manages Fabric Trigger – S/Y reservation, price update and tackle cost upon request for both VOS and customer’s nominated mills

• Technical risk assessment and develop counter options with quality and price concern

• Coordinate with PD team to resolve quality & print related issues & concerns with mills and vendors

• Seek waiver for bulk fabric test failures

Requirements

• DSE / Form 5 or above in textile or a related business discipline

• Minimum of 7 years of work experience in sourcing knit and woven fabric, with at least 3 years’ experience in an agent or sizeable apparel buying office

• In-depth technical knowledge of fabric construction, production processes

• Well versed with testing and safety standards to the U.S. market

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to negotiate effectively with different counterparts
