Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design team to create “sketch to runway” pieces - able to independently create drape & flat pattern from hand sketches, technical sketches and/or technical packs ; through customer approval process to final sample

• Responsible for sample mock-up, fitting, final garment construction and technical advice all through the process from development to production

• Act as team leader for the workshop manufacturing team, able to pass on paper pattern, sewing instructions, handiwork instructions, and QC instruction to team members

• Provide fitting comments and technical advice. Ensure manufacturing team understands and complies with the quality standards and requirements

• Personal discipline with time management and budget - follow sample calendar and working within deadline, coordinating with design team and sewing team to create bespoke garments within budget

• Communicate with Merchandising teams, Manufacturing team and Design team all through the process from development to production

• Extensive experience with tailor made womenswear, evening gowns, wedding gowns, corsets and draping. Ensure perfect fit as per client’s requests

• Strong aesthetic sense

Requirements

• Pattern Maker Diploma/ Certificate

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in fashion design/garment field. Experience in evening wear field is highly preferred

• Positive mindset with appreciation for creativity and problem solving with a ‘can do’ attitude, self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines

• Organised, detail-minded, outspoken and confident to act independently

• Passion in innovation and keeping up with latest trends in garment and technology, desire to strive for continuous improvement

• Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese and Mandarin. English knowledge is a plus
