Responsibilities

• Receive and review color independently, including labdips, strike off, and fabric trims from development to bulk

• Implement electronic readings for color evaluation by using Spectrophotometer and a visual inspection in the lightbox

• Check bulk submits against the approved color & print

• Communicate all comments /approvals to mills/vendors, as well as internal HK/NY teams

• Provide constructive comments on rejections and solution to color issues, request new submits as needed

• Maintain time and action on approval process, callout if rejection/pending approvals may jeopardize bulk delivery

• Ensure color consistency across different mills/vendors for the final garment

• Update PLM to log all color comments,  approval status,  date received etc. 

• Provide guidance and training to mills/ vendors to ensure they follow color approval procedures and achieve company’s requirements 
  

• Maintain good record of seasonal color palette, color standards (Pantone, CSI, Archroma) and approval labdips/documentations

• Quarterly report on mills’ / vendors’ performance on color management

Requirements 

• DSE / Form 5 or above

• 3-5 years solid working experiences in fabric color & printing approval, preferably in MNC

• Must pass Munsell Hue 100 Eye Test

• Good textile knowledge and understanding of different types of fabrics, dyestuffs characteristics and printing technique for both natural and synthetic fabrics

• Computer literate and Proficiency in color processing software – Spectrophotometer, Data Color, etc. 

• Knowing Walmart Colorflow is an advantage

• Effective communication on color concepts and comments

• Fluent in English and Mandarin in both written and verbal communication skills
