Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end design and implementation of system integration solutions.
- Oversee integration journeys on various 3rd party APIs and ensure robust connectivity between legacy systems, cloud-native services, and digital platforms.
- Define and enforce API standards and best practices across the architecture.
- Architect scalable, cloud-native microservices solutions on cloud platform.
- Provide guidance on full-stack development projects, ensuring that application, integration, and API layers align with modern architectural principles.
- Evaluate and implement transformative digital solutions, including API gateways and modernisation initiatives.
- Manage and mentor an existing team of 2–3 integration and common services engineers, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Collaborate with digital PMs and business stakeholders to shape and deliver complex technical projects.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and act as a bridge between technical teams and business units.
- Pioneering technical discussions, sharing your integration philosophy, thought process, and decision rationale.
- Represent technology discussion in strategic meetings, clearly articulating technical solutions in both Cantonese (preferred) and English.
- Engage in planning for potentially international travel to align with global project initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Around 10+ years of experience in technology leadership with demonstrable hands-on experience in system integration, API development, and application architecture.
- A strong background in Full-Stack Development, with a solution/application/integration architect skillset.
- Solid experience in the financial services or insurance space (FSI domain expertise is highly desirable—even if not exclusively in insurance).
- Proven expertise in API development & gateway technologies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture. AWS exposure is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Excellent communication in Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin) and English, clarity, and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts confidently.
- Experience managing teams and mentoring talent, with a clear vision for technical leadership.
