煎炸食物暗藏各種健康危機,「唔好食咁多薯條」可說是自小已經聽父母親說過無數次的話。哈佛大學營養學教授Eric Rimm近日的報告再次提到炸薯條不健康,更指出一個相對之下比較健康及符合吸收量的方案:每餐只吃最多6條薯條。
Eric Rimm在報告中形容薯仔是「澱粉炸彈」,而薯仔本身亦是眾多蔬菜中營養價值最低之一,食用過多會增加肥胖、糖尿病和心血管疾病的風險。他又指明白大眾在快餐店不可能將多出的薯條退回,所以建議大眾每餐只吃6條薯條,再配搭沙律就健康得多。
不過收看報告的市民卻不太領情。有網民指:「食得快餐就預咗唔健康,要數的話根本所有快餐食物都是危害。」亦有人打趣道:「唔怪得之薯條可以轉粟米」、「幫快餐店攞正牌俾少啲薯條我哋」。甚至有餐飲業人士指「我都唔敢俾6條薯條俾個客啦」
