Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of fabrics, coordinating and negotiating with vendors on price, quality, quantity, and lead times

• Co-ordinate on-time payments for suppliers

• Ensure adherence to sourcing schedules to meet delivery requirements

• Work proactively with suppliers and merchandisers to identify key and novel fabrics aligned with the procurement strategy

• Research fabric trends and technological developments

• Collaborate with the team to add value for customers and reduce purchasing costs

• Place orders for test fabrics, proto yardage, and track progress

• Maintain seasonal fabric detail charts and fabric libraries, coordinate goods between fabric mills and garment factories

• Oversee and validate work in progress tracking and production calendar dates

• Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations to management

• Maintain raw materials quality standards; evaluate and advise on material suppliers’ performance

• Manage testing and quality assurance control for all fabrics

Requirements

• DSE / Form 5 or above
  

• At least 10yrs relevant working experience in garment field with 3 years at supervisory level

• Strong technical knowledge with good development skills

• Excellent negotiation skills, highly motivated and results driven

• Ability to remain composed under high-pressure situations

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask effectively

• Good command of both written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua (Vietnamese is preferred)

• Proficient in PC applications (Excel, Word, Power point etc.)
  

• Immediate available is highly preferred

• This job requires candidate to stay in Hong Kong and Vietnam for half a month each to work
