Quality Assurance Officer (Chemical)(Ref# 067056)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate product testing activities with third-party service providers

  • Track and monitor the status of quality-related services and testing processes

  • Review, validate, and approve various quality documents, including:

  • Chemical test reports

  • SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) documentation

  • Timber regulation/Timber deforestation compliance reports

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all quality documentation

  • Supervise supplier submissions of required test reports and certifications

  • Actively participate in the FSC certification process

  • Organize and coordinate third-party product testing and inspections

  • Conduct on-site visits to suppliers for material/product evaluations and detailed inspection reporting


Requirements

  • DSE / Form 5 or above

  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment

  • Strong knowledge of chemical testing methods, compliance standards, and quality assurance tools

  • Experience with root cause analysis (RCA), Six Sigma, and corrective action procedures

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, and Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

General skills

  • Team player with excellent communication & presentation skills in English and Chinese

  • Can-do attitude and independent. Good problem-solving skills & sound manufacturing, product knowhow for European market are preferred

  • A good understanding of the quality testing and chemical testing is required. Using data to drive sourcing decisions

  • Project Management skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively and handling challenges and tight deadlines

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with other departments (e.g. logistics). Communicate location-independently with a team in multiple countries and locations

  • Excellent IT & computer skills (Windows or macOS): Work in a modern work environment and able to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of sustainability standards and European Environmental Regulations
